Clinical Trials

Mission

The clinical research mission of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is to conduct cutting-edge, original investigations in scientific fields related to the physiology or pathophysiology of the digestive system including the gastrointestinal tract, liver and pancreas. Knowledge derived from the research is applied toward the improvement of the care of patients with digestive diseases.

Overview

The clinical research effort is a major component of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Physician scientists comprise the majority of the faculty. Many ongoing research projects are involved in the pathophysiological mechanisms of disease processes and development of new diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. Application of this research helps to expand the horizons of GI medicine and provides additional management options for patients.

Within this section, descriptions of clinical trials are listed including objectives, eligibility criteria and contact information.
